How to Start a Psychic Business: 4 Things You Need to Know

Have you been doing psychic readings for a while and started wondering, Could I actually turn this into a business?

Maybe you've developed your abilities, you're comfortable reading for other people, and you've realized that you genuinely love doing this work. But there's a big difference between being a good psychic and knowing how to build a sustainable psychic business.

I've been doing this work for 12 years, and I've learned a lot through building my own business from the ground up, making plenty of mistakes, investing in mentorship and education, and figuring out what actually works.

In this video, I'm sharing four of the biggest things I've learned about growing a psychic business, especially if you're at the point where you want more clients, more consistent income, and a business that can actually support you.

1. Build Your Confidence Through Practice

Before you can build a successful psychic business, you need to build confidence in your ability to serve other people.

That doesn't mean you need to be perfect. You will get things wrong sometimes. Every psychic does.

What matters is developing enough experience that you understand your strengths, recognize where you still need to grow, and feel confident showing up for your clients.

One of the best ways to do that is simply to practice. Exchange readings with other people, offer readings in exchange for feedback or reviews, and keep doing the work.

Every reading gives you more experience, more information about your own process, and more confidence in your ability to serve someone.

If you're still working on mastering your psychic abilities and don't have many people to practice with, finding a community of other people who are also developing their abilities can make a huge difference.

In the video, I talk more about how I recommend getting that experience and why practice is so important before you start worrying about building a huge client base.

2. Build the Foundation of Your Business

Once you're ready to start treating your psychic work like a business, you need to make sure the basic pieces are actually in place.

This doesn't have to be complicated.

You need a way for people to find you, understand what you do, learn how much it costs, and actually book with you.

That might mean creating a website, setting up a booking process, establishing your social media presence, and building an email list.

The goal isn't to create the world's most complicated psychic business before you ever have a client.

It's to create the basic infrastructure so that when someone does discover you and thinks, "I want to work with this person," they aren't left wondering what to do next.

Your business should make it easy for the right person to say, "Yes, this is the psychic for me."

In the video, I break down what I mean by building the foundation and some of the common places aspiring psychics get stuck.

3. Get Clear About Who You Want to Work With

One of the biggest lessons I've learned in business is that you cannot be for everyone.

And honestly, trying to make your psychic services appeal to everyone can actually make it harder for the right people to recognize themselves in your marketing.

Instead of simply announcing:

"My bookings are open! Go book a reading!"

think about the specific person you're trying to reach and what they're actually struggling with.

For example, if career questions are one of your strengths as a psychic, you might speak directly to someone who feels stuck in their career, is questioning whether they should make a change, or doesn't know which direction to take.

Now you're not just advertising a psychic reading.

You're speaking directly to a problem someone already wants help solving.

That shift can completely change the way you think about attracting clients.

I go much deeper into this idea in the video, including how to start thinking backwards from the people you actually want to work with.

4. Think Beyond One-on-One Readings

If you've been doing readings for a while, you may eventually run into a problem: there are only so many hours in the week.

You can try to grow your business by doing more and more readings, but eventually you reach a limit. And if your only way to make more money is to work more hours, that's a pretty easy path to burnout.

Growing a psychic business doesn't always mean doing more readings.

It can also mean thinking about how you can put your work in front of more people without having to personally work with each one of them.

That could look like creating courses, building a membership, collaborating with other creators, appearing on podcasts, creating YouTube content, or developing other forms of scalable income.

You don't have to do all of these things. In fact, you probably shouldn't.

The important question is:

How can I grow my business in a way that doesn't require me to constantly give more of my time?

That's a much bigger business question than simply asking, "How can I get another reading booked?"

Building a Psychic Business Is More Than Getting Clients

These four areas are really the foundation of what I teach inside the Psychic Development Academy:

Build yourself. Build your business. Attract your clients. Grow your practice.

If you're already doing readings and you know you want to take this work more seriously, you don't necessarily need to figure everything out on your own.

You need a path for developing your skills, building the business infrastructure, learning how to attract the right people, and eventually creating a business that can grow without completely consuming your time.

That's exactly what I created the Psychic Development Academy to help with.

If you're not quite ready for the business side yet and you're still focused on mastering your psychic abilities, the Psychic Development Society Mermbership is a great place to start. It's a free community where you can practice, connect with other developing psychics, access courses and participate in group events and coaching.

And if you're curious about all four of these areas and want to hear me explain them in more detail, watch the video above.
